Exhibit Opening: “Our Nation’s Generations”

Description: An exhibit by students from the Unquowa School
On view January 21 – February 21, 2010
Reception Thursday, January 21st 7:00pm
The Unquowa School and the Fairfield Museum and History Center have been working together to create a stronger link between the school and the community. Students will visit the museum in November to view the exhibit Celebrating Our Cultural Legacies and to learn how to utilize the resources in our library. The students will research their family’s cultural legacies and identify objects or photographs that represent their ethnic heritage. The exhibit will feature graphic panels, stories and photographs that convey the meaning and significance of their family history.

History Book Club
Location: FMHC
Description: 4th Wednesdays, 7:00pm – 8:30pm.
Join authors, scholars and university professors for a lively discussion focused on a theme in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Each presenter will suggest a book for participants to read and will lead an interesting and engaging discussion based on the book. We hope you have the opportunity to read the book, but it’s not required! Refreshments will be served.

Girls' Club!
Time: 4:30 pm
Location: FMHC
Description: Inspired by dolls and history, learn about a time period and make a craft or delicious food to eat.
Happy Birthday Josefina!
Make some salsa and weave your own craft inspired by Josefina’s Hispanic heritage.
Girls ages 8+ are encouraged to come and bring their doll. Caregivers welcome, but not required to stay!
