Dogwood Festival 75th Anniversary Greenfield Hill Cemetery Tour
Time: 12:00 pm
Location: Greenfield Hill Cemetery, Bronson Rd. Fairfield
Description: “Meet” Soldiers from the American Revolution and some of Fairfield’s interesting personalities buried in Greenfield Hill cemetery! Volunteers will tell the stories of some of the incredible people buried in this historic site. Members of the Eunice Dennie Burr Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will discuss their own ancestors at their family burial sites. In conjunction with the Dogwood Festival.

Learn a few basics on taking photographs and then complete a fun scavenger hunt on the Green – with a Polaroid camera! Teams of 4 -5 will complete a photo challenge and display their photographs in a mini-exhibit. Refreshments and prizes will finish our photo fun! In case of rain, the program will be held in the galleries. Limited space available, please pre-register. Suggested for children ages 8 and up.

Apostles of Disunion: Southern Secession Commissioners and the Causes of the Civil War by Charles Dew
4th Wednesdays, 7:00pm – 8:30pm Join authors, scholars and university professors for a lively discussion focused on a theme in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Each presenter will suggest a book for participants to read and will lead an interesting and engaging discussion based on the book. We hope you have the opportunity to read the book, but it’s not required!

Description: After the parade continue the fun! Fairfield Museum invites the community to continue celebrating the spirit of the day at the 3rd annual Memorial Day Community Picnic. Try your hand at some water-balloon games, enjoy sack races or pick a partner for the three-legged race.
