"Base Ball" as Mark Twain Knew It
Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road
Description: Craig Hotchkiss of the Mark Twain House will present this program on the Gilded Age era of base ball. The game echoes Twain’s lifelong interest in the struggle of America to achieve a "more perfect union" with regard to ethnicity, race, gender, class, and the use of American power abroad.
