Family Genealogies
The Library and Special Collections maintain a list of all family names represented in the collections for quick reference. It is available here.

Published and unpublished family genealogies are arranged in alphabetical order starting at 929.2 A. They are also listed in the main card catalog.

Researchers of Fairfield families should also consult:
Jacobus, Donald Lines. History and Genealogy of the Families of Old Fairfield. 929.1 J12h.

In addition, researchers may peruse three collections of genealogical working papers. The “Brown Envelopes” collection is a file compiled by FMHC staff and is publicly accessible. The Lester Card and David Van Hoosear files, respectively, must be paged from Special Collections using a call slip.
