Hold your event at the Burr Homestead
In addition to the museum, the Fairfield Museum and History Center manages the historic Burr Mansion, an exceptional location, instantly providing private and corporate events with added depth and meaning.
In addition to being an extremely beautiful 15-room mansion, complete with marble fireplaces and detailed moldings, the Burr Homestead’s most striking feature is the opportunity to interact with history. Originally burned by the British during the American Revolution, it is a true historic landmark. It is also the site John Hancock chose for his own wedding during that same tumultuous period of our history.
While the Burr Homestead is charged with the nostalgia of our past, it offers all that one could want in an event location. A ballroom, sunroom, and a Greek Revival porch with six large columns provides a stately site for any affair. Perhaps its most striking feature is the four acres of manicured grounds and gardens, providing a spectacular background for any event. Convenient to everything the area offers, it is easy to get to for out-of-town guests.
